Azad Education of India came into existence in the year 2015, with the guiding philosophy "Let the Society Lead the Society". The idea behind the formation of the organization was mainly to educate the society about the ability and talents of the visually impaired to lead a normal life without being dependant and become a part of the main stream society, sustaining themselves by making use of the facilities, to educate themselves and gain sustainable livelihood in the society which hitherto was of the view that the blind need support to lead their lives and are a burden on the respective families in particular and society in general. The sole aim of the Federation was to drive this myth away by constantly looking for avenues and opportunities for the blind in the field of education, gainful employment and other means of subsistence
